gestern, Quelle Facebook: Due to some unforeseen circumstances the Clone GTi and GTi upgrade has been delayed, we have received several shipments of electrical components that were wrong and/ or not working which resulted in lengthy delays due to completed units having to be checked over. Some of these electronic parts are built from the ground for us up and remaking them has blown out lead times.

The good news is we have isolated the problem parts and had them remade, this means we should be seeing guns and upgrades available in the next 2 weeks!

Hmmmm, also ich finde es sogar sehr gut, dass MD gut aufpasst was sie auf den Markt werfen und kein Risiko eingehen.

Clone GTi Upgrade Scheme

The GTi upgrade - a new main board with colour OLED, pressure sensor and manifold plate and updated GTi wrap around grip. (battery not included)
The Clone GTi upgrade is set for official release, so please refer to this page for information on what is included in the upgrade.

What is the upgrade?
The GTi upgrade is a new set of electronics for the Clone GT marker. The new electronics provide a new set of features, and improvements on old features for years to come.

Colour OLED screen – the new OLED is full colour with higher resolution than ever before, giving a sharper, richer interface.

Powerful processing – a very powerful main processor is supported by a secondary processor to perform more tasks on the board than ever before.

Real time pressure monitoring – the new board can measure the pressure in your gun at any time – see the pressure in your gun on screen at the touch of a button

Flash memory – The powerful processor has a large flash memory chip for storing data, tones and graphics

Tones – the on board speaker provides power on/off tones and alarms

Rolling updates – software updates will be provided free for life. Future updates include customisable boot screens and tones, all stored on the on board flash memory.

Modular construction – with plug on/off modules for the pressure sensor, battery, speaker and even OLED means almost any component of the board can be easily disconnected or changed.

Future modules – the board has been made future proof with the addition of ports and plugs for high technology connections like Bluetooth.

In addition to the new electronics, a new solenoid manifold is required (to mount the pressure sensor), as well as a new set of GTi grips.

How much does the upgrade cost?
To upgrade a Clone GT, it costs $US120 in the USA. This cost is so low, because our techs will remove your old parts and keep them as part of our upgrade scheme. In other areas of the world, the price may be the same, or slightly different due to shipping costs. The upgrade cost includes returning the gun to you from our tech centre in your country.

How do I get the upgrade done?
To reserve your upgrade, please contact the tech centre in your country. Please do not send your gun in, until you have a reservation with the local tech centre. We want you to make a reservation to ensure an upgrade is ready to go into your gun, that way you are not without your gun for longer than is necessary. Alternatively, you can approach a tech booth at a major event, where upgrades can be performed on a first come first served basis as stocks allow.

NOTE: please do not send your gun without a reservation. This may result in your gun sitting - which means you can't play with it! Your tech centre will email you instructions when your upgrade is ready.

The main tech centres are listed here, please email them to make a reservation:

MacDev USA – Florida (jerry@macdev.net)

Aggressive sports (USA) – California (customerservice@aggressivesports.net)

MAXS Sport (Western Europe, Germany) (Tom.Wolf@maxs-sport.com)

MacDev Australia – NSW (info@macdev.net)

MacDev Malaysia – KL (alanlps31@gmail.com)

Paintball Gear (Canada) (sales@paintballgear.ca)

SmackBallin (Canada) – Toronto (sales@smackballin.com)

MacDev in Brazil (wagnermazza@uol.com.br)

Imperia - Singapore (Imperia.paintball@gmail.com)

If your country is not listed, please email info@macdev.net for advice.

When will the upgrade be ready?
The upgrades will become available from the 22nd of May 2013, however, it is on a first come, first served basis, so please be patient in the first 2-3 weeks, as we expect demand to be quite high.

Which parts do you keep under the scheme?
The upgrading tech will keep your old board, screen, wrap and subplate. We are taking these out of circulation where possible (and giving you a healthy discount for doing so), because we know that in the near future, screen panels for these boards will not be available.

If you would like to perform the upgrade on your gun, but want to retain your old parts, this is possible, but the price is higher - $US220 per upgrade.
