Batteries:
You cannot use 9v cells. You have to use 6AAs. We do not recommend you use rechargables as they are only 1.2 volts each instead of 1.5 volts like alkalines. If you want to save weight (3 ounces!) we recommend Energizer Lithiums. They are more expensive but they also last longer (around 20 cases of paint worth).
Angel Owners
Most Angel's work fine out of the box, but if yours is chopping or double feeding, adjust the following:
1) make sure your detent is fresh
2) adjust your dwell from 14 to 17
3) adjust your LPR to 95.
Timmy owners
The Timmy works great with the HALO (just look at Texas Storm for example) - but we've found that some of the guns have their bolt about 1/8th inch back too far. When you put your finger down your feedneck, the blot should be flush with the back of the feedneck. If yours is back we recommend an adjustable RAM CAP from Paintball Kingdom that will let you move it forward.
Desweiteren gibt es mittlerweile drei Softwareversionen (bisher):
BE: The halo pulses (3 pulses then a pause). If you remove your finger from the sensor there is is a 1/2 second pause before the motor starts running
T1: The halo pulses (3 pulses then a pause) but if you remove your finger from the sensor the motor starts spinning instantly.
TE: The halo briefly changes rpm for just an instant about every 4 seconds (i.e. no notable pulse).
Each version is a little more battery and motor efficient than the previous version. The TE may "theoretically" be a little quicker, but it is not an amount most people would ever notice. We are always trying to improve our product and when we find little things that make it better we implement the improvement into current production (and upgrades); like these software updates.
If your HALO works well like it is, there is no noticable advantage to have the software upgraded.
